Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all quotations, agreements, and works carried out by CrocElectrical Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) for you (“the Customer”). By accepting a quotation, you agree to these Terms.

1. Agreement of Works

  • By accepting a quotation from us, you enter into a binding agreement for the works specified in that quotation.

  • Acceptance of a quotation constitutes full agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Quotations and Material Costs

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

  • Once accepted, any materials purchased specifically for your project become your financial responsibility.

  • If works do not proceed after acceptance, you remain liable for the cost of any materials already purchased.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms will be stated on your invoice.

  • Invoices must be paid in full by the due date unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing before works commence.

  • Late payments may result in additional charges and, if necessary, legal action for recovery.

4. Warranty

  • We provide a 12-month warranty on workmanship from the date of completion.

  • The warranty covers faults directly caused by our workmanship.

  • This warranty does not cover:

    • Normal wear and tear.

    • Misuse or incorrect operation of installed equipment.

    • Damage caused by external factors such as power surges, flooding, or tampering.

  • Repairs for accidental damage may be offered at a reduced rate at our discretion.

5. Cancellations

  • Acceptance of a quotation, whether in writing or via an online acceptance link, constitutes a legally binding contract between the Customer and CrocElectrical Ltd.

  • Where the Customer is a consumer and the contract is formed at a distance (for example, online or by email), the Customer may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, unless the exceptions below apply.

  • Where the Customer requests or agrees for the Works to commence within the 14-day cancellation period, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that:

    • CrocElectrical Ltd may begin preparation, scheduling, and procurement immediately

    • The Customer will be liable for any costs reasonably incurred up to the point of cancellation, including materials ordered, labour allocated, and administrative time

  • Once a start date has been agreed, or where the Works are scheduled to begin within 14 days of acceptance, the Customer agrees that their statutory cancellation rights are limited to the extent permitted by law, and that costs incurred up to the date of cancellation remain payable.

  • The Customer must provide a minimum of 48 hours’ written notice if they wish to cancel or reschedule the agreed Works. All cancellations must be provided in writing by email or other recorded method. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

  • If materials have been ordered or purchased following acceptance of the quotation, the Customer remains fully liable for the cost of those materials, regardless of whether the Works proceed.

  • If the Customer cancels within 48 hours of the agreed start date, the Customer will be liable for:

    • The full cost of materials already purchased for the Works

    • Labour time reserved for the Works

    • Reasonable administrative, preparation, and scheduling costs

    • Loss of income resulting from the inability to reallocate the booked time

  • If the Customer fails to respond, is unavailable, or does not provide access at the agreed date and time, this will be treated as a cancellation without notice, and the same charges will apply.

  • Any cancellation charges applied represent a genuine pre-estimate of loss suffered by CrocElectrical Ltd and are not intended to operate as a penalty.

  • CrocElectrical Ltd reserves the right to issue an invoice for all costs and losses incurred as a result of late cancellation, non-attendance, or failure to provide access. Payment shall be due in accordance with the standard payment terms.

6. Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or damage unless directly caused by our negligence.

  • You are responsible for ensuring the work site is safe, accessible, and ready for works to be carried out.

7. Access and Site Readiness

  • You must provide sufficient access to the premises and ensure the site is ready for works.

  • Delays due to lack of access or site readiness may incur additional charges.

8. Variations and Additional Work

  • Any variations to the agreed works must be requested in writing and may result in additional charges.

  • Any unforeseen issues will be communicated promptly, and extra costs may apply if necessary.

9. Health & Safety

  • All work will be carried out in accordance with UK health and safety regulations.

  • You must notify us of any known hazards on site before work begins.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution amicably before taking legal action.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Amendments

  • We may update these Terms at any time without prior notice.

  • The most recent version will always be available on our website or provided on request.
